Primary responsibilities of the position include measurement of phase equilibria and reaction kinetics in molecular systems, with application to renewable fuel synthesis. This position is part of EFree (Energy Frontiers in Extreme Environments, https://efree.gl.ciw.edu), one of the US DOE’s Energy Frontier Research Centers. The position is open to all PhD applicants with a chemistry-related background. Preference will be given to candidates familiar with high-pressure techniques including resistive- and laser-heated diamond anvil cells as well characterization tools such as optical spectroscopies, powder x-ray diffraction and other analytical techniques.

The appointment is for one year, available immediately, with renewal for a second year pending progress.  Interested parties should send a cover letter, resumé or curriculum vitae (including publications), statement of research interests, and contact information for a minimum of three references.  Additionally, please complete the Self-Identification Form
