Job Description
 
Basic Purpose
 
Responsible for conceiving and implementing high pressure synchrotron radiation research, and for designing, constructing, and operating synchrotron equipment. Closely work with the HPSynC group for implementing state-of-the-art high pressure synchrotron radiation research. Responsible for reporting relevant results in an appropriate form.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Considerable knowledge of high pressure synchrotron radiation physics, experience in x-ray scattering, spectroscopy or imaging technique and related instrumentation, methods, and applications. Closely work with the HPSynC group on state-of-the-art high pressure synchrotron radiation research. Knowledge of physics, chemistry, materials science, nanoscience, and earth science. Knowledge of high pressure diamond anvil cell techniques is plus. Skill in designing and implementing precision instrumentation. Skill in
understanding abstract concepts and synthesizing results within the experimental and theoretical framework. Skill in written and oral communication.
