[20110601] Postdoctoral Research Position, High-Pressure at the University of Lyon, France

The Laboratory of Geology at Lyon (University Lyon1 & ENS de Lyon, France) invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher in the Lyon high-pressure mineral physics group. He/she will work in close collaboration with a group of scientists funded by the Deep Carbon Observatory, A.P. Sloan foundation (https://dco.gl.ciw.edu/earths-deep-carbon-cycle-i-surface-depth-and-back...). In this setting, the successful candidate will conduct carbonate mineral solubility experiments in the diamond anvil cell. For this project, the ideal candidate will have a PhD in either Earth sciences, physics, chemistry, or related field.

The search starts now and will continue until the position is filled. The position may be filled as early as June 1st, 2011. The appointment is initially for one year and may be extended based on the future funding situation. Please contact Isabelle Daniel for further information.
