[20110701] Mineral Physics Postdoctoral position

The mineral physics lab at MIT invites applications for a postdoctoral position to study the physical properties and structures of crystalline and
amorphous materials at high pressure and high temperature. Candidates should have a Ph.D in Earth Sciences, Physics, Chemistry or related field, and experiences in synchrotron X-ray and/or vibrational spectroscopy techniques in the diamond-anvil cell.

The initial appointment is for one year, but appointment is renewable each year. The position will be available beginning in July 2011 or as mutually acceptable. Review of applications will begin in April 2011 and the position will remain open until filled.
