Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral scholar position with the UNLV High-Pressure Science and Engineering Center (HiPSEC). We look for candidates interested in experimental studies of metal and ceramic
deformation as function of strain rate. The successful candidate holds a PhD or equivalent degree in Material Sciences or a related area and possesses profound knowledge about defects in solids as proven by multiple
publications. Experience in electron microscopy (SEM, TEM, EBSD), X-ray diffraction, and X-ray tomography is desirable. The position is full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track appointment to commence immediately.
