1 PhD position (The position is available immediately).

The Fachbereich Material- und Geowissenschaften of the Technische Universität Darmstadt offers a PhD position within the project funded by the DFG (German Research Foundation) Focused Programme Oxides, carbides and nitrides at extremely high pressures and temperatures focused on metal oxides.

The successful candidate is expected to have a sound knowledge at least in one of the following areas:

• inorganic synthesis (sol-gel, hydrothermal, solid-state etc)
• structural characterisation
• high-pressure high-temperature synthesis

We pay standard German salary (BAT 2a/2).
